Fort Bend Republican Women Meetings

Fort Bend Republican Women's Club meets the fourth Wednesday of the month. Our meetings will be at the Los Galitos Mexican Restaurant, 3385 State Hwy 6, Sugar Land, Tx., until our summer break.  Location for the fall will be announced.      

We start with and meet and greet at 11:15 am. Lunch is available for purchase and the program starts at Noon. We welcome visitors, elected officials and candidates to our meetings.

2024 Volunteer of the Quarter

It is our honor to recognize and congratulate Debra Stryk, as the Fort Bend Republican Women Club PAC’s Volunteer of the 2nd Quarter.

Debbie joined our club in November 2020 and jumped in by serving in leadership roles for both the club’s the Literacy Program and Scholarship Program.

She was instrumental in our Scholarship Program and in the first few years of the program awarded $5000 in scholarships to deserving young conservative women in the Fort Bend area.

Debbie didn’t stop there, as in the past, she worked many hours on Fort Bend GOP Lincoln-Reagan Fundraiser Silent Auction event. She obtained silent auction items from donors, creating bid sheets, organizing auction items for bidding. 

We look forward to her enthusiasm, many talents and continued dedication to our organization.

Debbie has logged 122 hours in the 2nd quarter by utilizing Clockify, the club's time tracking application from her computer or phone.

A reminder that 2024 will have many opportunities for members to participate and record your valuable time.

A look back and look ahead

The holidays help us recenter ourselves with family!  As we look back on 2024 the Fort Bend Republican’s Women’s Club had a fantastic year ending with a 50^th Anniversary celebration!

I would like to thank the 2024 Board and Committee Chairs for their efforts.  I would also like to thank all our club members efforts to help get Republicans in all levels of government elected.  We didn’t win all the seats, but we made huge progress. 

As we begin the new year, I respectfully ask our members from our long-time members to our new members to find a way to be involved that motivates you to help our party and our club.  Let us know how you want to be involved.

The Program Committee is off and running with the 2025 calendar.  Our club will again collect books to at risk students, offer two scholarships to young women and continue to find ways to show our community our Republican values. 

Take a minute to renew your membership!  A strong membership is the key to our future.  Invite a friend to be a member as well.  Remember, men are welcome as associate members.

FBRW 2025 Scholarship Applications 
Fort Bend Republican Women’s Club

The Fort Bend Republican Women’s Club PAC offers a $1,250 Scholarship to young women (ages 17-22) planning to attend, or attending, college, technical school, or other certified educational pursuits.  This scholarship is merit based, with the essay being the determining factor.  Grades may be a factor only in the case of a “tie.”

The deadline for submission of all materials electronically is 11:59 p.m. on March 31, 2025. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

BOOK DRIVE

We will once again have a Book Drive in 2025! 

We need YOU to collect new OR gently used books that are

suitable for ages 3-7 yrs. 

Please BRING THE BOOKS to ANY meeting, starting in January.

The Book Drive Contest will continue through October 31^st.

The Member who donates the most books will win a
$25 VISA gift card!   SOOO, ask your relatives, neighbors, friends

(bible study, book club, Bunco, gym, garden club, church) to

clean out their bookshelves to help you W-I-N !

Winner will be announced at the November meeting.

all tasteful, age appropriate books are welcomed.
